About us - Spin: house music London:

Spin have been hosting their notorious Spin Sessions parties in London since 2003. It all started with a one off gig in a small basement in Farringdon and quickly grew into a monthly residency with a loyal following. Spin's sound is House music - the whole spectrum of house from latin through deep, disco to funky and jazzy, we've got it covered.

Spin's residents are Pete Reading and Jay Laugharne. Having DJ'd up and down the country, their collective sound now brings in music from across the spectrum of all that is good about house music.

Along with the residents, Spin hosts a number of dj guest slots regularly filled by those that grew up breathing off the same funky house sounds that made Spin. Never deviating from the funky house soul of what we're about, our collection of dj's bring a fresh and personal edge to our soirees, ensuring we rock it every time!

Resident DJs:

Pete Reading

Having been DJing since 1998 in clubs in Brighton (Honey Club), Liverpool and London (Turnmills, Trafik, Rhythm Factory), Pete continues to play his soulful mix of deep and tech house to many an appreciative crowd.

His style these days takes influence from different genres from funk to latin and jazz. He still, however, manages to maintain that deep funky house undertone that has carried him through over the years ensuring that he always leaves a crowd well and truly satisfied.

Jay Laugharne

Jay has leaned towards Happy, Funky, Disco House spliced with uplifting vocals since he started DJing in the vibrant surf town of Newquay where he lived as a teenager in 1996. Never reacting to the hard, progressive trends of the overall club scene he has galvanised the art of pleasing the most mixed and versatile of crowds all over the UK.

In Manchester Jay Laugharne is now synonymous with the most successful VIP clubs and bars in the Northwest. Living in Manchester for four years excelled him to the top of the pile, culminating with interviews next to the likes of Judge Jules, Jon Da Silva and Slammin' Boys. (See below).
