DJ Pete Reading - Spin resident

Pete started his DJing career whilst at college. It was here that his musical style started to evolve from its early beginnings in Chicago style house and techno. Throughout his student years, Pete played at numerous student parties and more noticeably had a residency at pre-club bar BaBa in Liverpool city centre. It was here that the up-for-it clubbers of the late nineties came to get their deep funky techno fix before disappearing inside Cream which was just around the corner.

From Liverpool, Pete found himself a residency at the Honey Club in Brighton and played alongside household names such as Eric Morillo and Joey Negro. Situated on the eponymous Brighton beach front, Pete played his soulful mix of deep house to an appreciative crowd over the heady summer months. It was during this summer that Pete started to develop his style to suit the South Coast residents and his unique mix of soulful jazzy deep disco house was well and truly born.

Now having been in London since 1999, Pete has managed to refine his style and currently takes influence from many musical genres from funk to latin and jazz. He still manages to maintain that deep funky house undertone that has carried him through various London venues such as The Light Bar, The Rhythm Factory and Turnmills and continues to satisfy his audiences.
